Developing our evidence base

Our research is a crucial part of informing decisions. The LSB has made clear that our policy-making will be evidence-based, meeting this standard depends on a comprehensive programme of generating research where gaps exist in our understanding. We have made a clear commitment to publishing all of the evidence and data we produce.

Our research plan for 2011/12 was published in June 2011. Prior to the publication of our Business Plan 2011/12 we informed this approach through a series of seminars with academics and other stakeholders, as well as consultation with the Consumer Panel and other partners.
