Work programme

Our Business Plan for 2011/12 describes how we will fulfil our responsibility as the oversight regulator of legal services in England and Wales. It includes information on how we will work with the Approved Regulators to ensure that the Act's eight regulatory objectives underpin all that we do.

We arrange our work programme around a number of projects:

• Developing regulatory standards
• Developing our evidence base
• Ensuring effective redress for consumers
• Widening access to the legal market
• Securing independent regulation
• Developing a changing workforce for a changing market
• Improving access to justice: rationalising the scope of regulation
