Work programme
Our Business Plan for 2010/11 describes how we will fulfil our responsibility as the oversight regulator of legal services in England and Wales. It includes information on how we will work with the Approved Regulators to ensure that the Act's eight regulatory objectives underpin all that we do.
We arrange our work programme around a number of projects:
- Putting consumer and public interest at the heart of regulation
- Widening access to the legal market (Alternative Business Structures)
- Improving service by resolving complaints effectively
- Developing excellence in legal services regulation
- Securing independent regulation
- Promoting access to a diverse legal profession
- Developing research and public legal education strategies
