Stephen Green (Member - lay)
Stephen was a Police Officer for 30 years, retiring as Chief Constable of Nottinghamshire Police in 2008. During his career, he spent much of his time in uniformed operational policing and was heavily involved in policing a number of large scale protests. As Chief Constable, he successfully tackled a major gun crime problem and led a significant programme of reform in his Force. He was an active member of the Association of Chief Police Officers, ultimately chairing its Roads Policing Committee.
Stephen now holds a number of non-executive directorships and is Director of a small consultancy company. He is a member of the Public Policy Group of the RAC Foundation and is a member of Nottinghamshire Orienteering Club.
